An Atlanta man was sentenced to three years on probation after selling LSD to an FBI informant in Hall County, according to court documents.
Brandon Eugene Williams, 31, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute LSD.
According to the affidavit for an arrest warrant, Williams met with a confidential informant in June 2017 at the Chili’s restaurant in Flowery Branch. The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Williams sold the informant a sheet containing 97 hits of LSD and another quantity of DMT, a hallucinogenic drug.
All other charges in the indictment were dismissed.
Williams pleaded guilty in March and was sentenced Friday. His attorney, William H. Thomas Jr., said his client received a fair sentence.
“Mr. Williams made a mistake. He recognized that and took responsibility for his mistake,” he said.
According to court documents, Williams must also participate in a drug/alcohol treatment program and random drug screening.
Thomas said he expects his client to successfully complete probation.
